People Are Strange (Incl. Festival Mix)
KAAZE Maddix feat. Nino Lucarelli
Hot on the heels of his debut album ‘Dreamchild’ last month, KAAZE teams up with Revealed Recordings label favourite Maddix for the Festival Mix of album track ‘People Are Strange’. The mix is set for release November 1st, and showcases KAAZE’s trademark fusion of genres in lending Jim Morrison’s verse from The Doors’ 1967 single of the same title for an esteemed inclusion of creativity.
From the get-go, Nino’s Lucarelli’s rock-ready vocals are accentuated giving the Festival Mix an immediate loftier feel, classic, rock-inspired chord plucks echo from the guitar-led riff that takes the listener one way, before elevating synths carry the track towards its new conclusion. Upon summiting, powerful reverberating low-ends and shining, glossy synths lend the new version a harder flavour that went down a storm with crowds at some of this year’s most prestigious dance events. With the original mix finding support from a cross section of this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll medallists, including Ummet Ozcan, Mike Williams, and of course, label boss Hardwell, the psytrance rework once again reminds us of the sheer quality of their debut collab, while demonstrating their varied capabilities as part of the new school of electronic producers.
Finding mainstage performances at the likes of Dance Valley and The Green World this year, KAAZE and Maddix are no strangers to pleasing the masses. Teaming up on once again on the Festival Mix of ‘People Are Strange’, these two Revealed Recordings label favourites give us a taste of what will surely be soundtracking the dancefloors at next season’s elite hotspots.
