Something
Funk Machine Taku-Hero
Funk Machine and Taku-Hero make their debut on Gemstone Records with ‘Something.’ The two collaborators, previously known for their smash hit ‘Fun Lovin’ released on Revealed Recordings in 2017, team up again for a vocal-driven future bass track.
‘Something’ begins with a pallet of acoustic instruments including nostalgic pianos, muted guitar plucks, and cinematic drum hits. A catchy vocal chorus signals a dynamic drop featuring brass stabs and wavy saw chords all glued together by ear-candy drum fills and spirited vocal ad-libs.
Russian duo Funk Machine have recently garnered mass attention for collaborations with legends such as Fedde Le Grand and Tommie Sunshine. Their previous release on Revealed, Fun Lovin’, received support from artists such as Martin Garrix, Hardwell, and W&W. Funk Machine have released tracks on labels such as Armada, Metanoia Music, and Fedde Le Grand’s Darklight Recordings. Japanese Taku-Hero has previously released on labels such as Revealed and Spinnin’. His remix of Breathe Carolina’s ‘This Again’ with Dropgun has reached nearly a million plays on Spotify.
