XTC
Hardwell
Mainstage
Having only recently chalked off the 1000th release on his Revealed imprint, Hardwell’s back in the hot seat with the latest single on the famed label. Those who attended Ultra Music Festival Miami 2024 or watched via the live stream may already be familiar with the pounding delivery of ‘XTC’. An epic new studio outing once again from the head honcho himself!
With a raging kick drum and scintillating percussive elements, ‘XTC’ doesn’t stop there, instead triggering a fury of underground energy that is sure to grip and pin big-room techno acolytes to the dancefloor. Laced together by a spoken vocal asking listeners if she should “Should I call my girl and turn it up”, ‘XTC’ builds into the vocal sample hook of “Lose Your Mind On Ecstasy”. Before dark side vibes and punchy bassline continue.
Hardwell's impact on the electronic music scene is undeniable. From his extensive career as a DJ, producer, remixer, label boss, filmmaker, and philanthropist, to his pivotal shift to Big Room Techno, he has consistently propelled the scene forward. His second studio album, REBELS NEVER DIE, marked a key moment in his career, and his subsequent singles, including 'Revolution', '16', 'The Abyss', 'Judgement Day', and 'Acid', have all contributed to his ongoing legacy as a forward-thinking artist.
