Summer Air (DubVision Remix)
Hardwell feat. Trevor Guthrie, DubVision
Following the seismic success of the original mix back in May, now boasting upside of 10 million streams on Spotify and counting, DubVision leads the charge in of a series of forthcoming remixes of Hardwell’s smash-hit ‘Summer Air’. The mix, out 20th September, comes as the Dutch duo’s second release on Revealed Recordings, following the acclaimed remix of Syzz and Taku-Hero’s ‘Be My Love’ earlier this year.
Where the warm, blossoming strings, glowing bass and angelic vocal poise of the original mix make for a radio-ready hit set for the FM airwaves, DubVision set their sights firmly on the dancefloor. Rising up this time on elevated synths, the punchy bass carries Trevor’s vocals to new heights, teeing up a chorus equipped with oscillating synths, pulsing low-ends, and a feel-good factor that loses none of its predecessor’s seasonal appeal. Having constructed remixes for the likes of Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers and Avicii, DubVision once again showcase their innate ability to take something deep-seated in one realm and take it somewhere wholly other.
Gaining support from the likes of Hardwell, David Guetta and Tiësto for their show-stopping productions, DubVisions are a pair from whom we can expect great things as they continue to be a driving force in the world of progressive house.
