Badam (Chocolate Puma Remix)
Hardwell & Henry Fong feat. Mr. Vegas
With anticipation brewing for Revealed Recording’s upcoming ’10th Anniversary Remix EP’, the label has decided to drop the first single from the package to give its legion of fans an early taster. Putting the spotlight on some of the Dutch imprint’s biggest anthems from the past decade the remix package is part one of a two-part series celebrating all things Revealed, with Chocolate Puma taking the reins on Hardwell & Henry Fong’s ‘Badam’ for the first single.
First heard on ‘Hardwell & Friends Vol.2’ back in 2017, ‘Badam’ from Floridian mainstay Henry Fong and label head himself Hardwell has continued to add a ferocity to live sets and instigate mayhem at festivals such as Ultra Music Festival and EDC Orlando with the support of top DJs like Diplo and KURA, as well as clocking up more than 5 million YouTube streams.
Music icons in their own right Chocolate Puma have proven time and again that they yield a Midas touch in the studio. Thanks to legendary releases such as ‘I Wanna Be U’, as well as collaborations with the likes of Tommie Sunshine, Bingo Players, Firebeatz on labels from Heldeep Records, to Strictly Rhythm. Now stepping forward with a fresh 2020 take on ‘Badam’, Chocolate Puma’s remix takes the originals dancehall riddim down a house-influenced tribal beat route, bringing with it a small slice of techy underground grooves. Mutating into a dirty speaker blazer the new cut from Chocolate Puma is a lively party banger that retains all the beauty of the original from Hardwell & Henry Fong, but with a twist.
