Mainstage
The electronic community is set to be electrified by news of two dance music titans coming together for their first collaboration to date. Powerhouse superstar Hardwell teams up with the heavy-hitting duo Bassjackers for a ground-breaking addition to the hard trance genre with new single 'Energy'.
Crammed with punchy techno grit on the low end that is sure to rattle bass bins across this upcoming festival season. The track's top side swirls in and out of anthemic vitality with its monstrous rolling melodic groove and short doses of distinctively hands-in-the-air rave synths. A fusion of Hardwell's signature and Bassjackers' dynamic production style, wrapped in a hard trance coating, 'Energy' delivers pulsating rhythms, soaring synths, and an explosive drop that is pure high-octane ecstasy.
As a leading figure in the electronic music scene, Hardwell's boundary-pushing approach to his craft over the last couple of years has seen his sound invigorate dancefloors with what fans have labelled "big room techno". With a focus on the rich, squelching beauty of the rave spirit on tracks like 'Acid' with Maddix to intoxicating blends of techno on tracks like 'The Abyss' with Space 92, Hardwell's evolution continues to create a slew of anthemic gems primed for the floor.
Collaborators Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst, the dynamic duo behind Bassjackers, infuse their unique style with hard-hitting beats and adrenaline-pumping basslines. Continuing to deliver their self-styled "Phat kick" sound to festivals worldwide, the duo also remains committed to blurring the lines of their sound, from injecting Tiësto's classic 'Traffic' with a dose of techno to dabbling in Eurodance with fellow Top100DJ buddies Timmy Trumpet and KSHMR on 'Eternity'.
With both artists respectively pursuing the growth of the current era of dance music, 'Energy' drops at an exciting time in the developing landscape of the EDM scene.
